Merry Christmas

It is that time of the year again where everyone seems to be getting in the holiday mood… except for those few Scrooges out there! 🙂 Of course with holidays comes a slight change in office hours. Ruehle Family Chiropractic will be closed on both Christmas Day as well as New Year’s Day. Other than those two, all other hours are normal. Thank you all for another successful year of Ruehle Family Chiropractic. I hope you and your family have a fantastic and safe Christmas and a very good new year.

The Box

“That’s cool. How did you come up with that?” Often those are the first words I hear after explaining the Honor Fee System to a new office member. And the honest response? I didn’t. This system of payment (for chiropractic care) has been around since the 1930s when Dr. George Shears hung a box on the wall of his practice to accept payment. Since that point, many other offices began using it, including Ruehle Family Chiropractic. The basis for the system is simple… everyone deserves to have their spine and nervous system as free from vertebral subluxation (or misalignment) Read Full Article…

Thanks Giving

Every year around Thanksgiving I ponder the things for which I am thankful. This year, these three things top the list. To all of the members of the office… Thank you. Thank you for allowing me to take care of you and your family. I am very grateful for the opportunity to help you maintain your health and help your body function at its optimum. Additionally, thank you for allowing me to get to know “the person behind the spine” as well. I value that relationship. To all of the individuals I have yet to meet… Thank you. At some Read Full Article…

Busy

“How’s today going?” “Busy.” This is one of the most common responses I receive at the office. Life is hectic. Whether it is taking the kids to school and practice, work projects, or last minute grocery shopping – there never seems to be enough hours in the day to get everything accomplished. And when we run short on time, the thing that tends to suffer is us… more specifically our body. We understand just how busy life is and would like to help. You probably already know that chiropractic can help your body work more efficiently and deal with the Read Full Article…

Clutter

“I heard that once you go to a chiropractor you need to go for the rest of your life. Is that true?” This is a question I hear far too often. The short answer is ABSOLUTELY NOT. You are free to do whatever you choose with your health. Rather than leaving the topic so quickly, why not explore what would compel someone to seek chiropractic care on a regular basis. What’s the reason for doing anything frequently? Why do you take blood pressure medication or even clean your house regularly? You have probably found living in a clean environment more Read Full Article…

Procrastination KILLS

Don’t put off till tomorrow what could be done today. This little wisdom is something we have all heard, but many still fail to practice. One of the main areas this seems most prevalent is in our health. All too often we assume that we will be healthier tomorrow (without taking any positive steps in that direction) than we are today. The interesting thing is that many of these steps take little extra effort and after awhile they simply become second nature. One of these is exercise. If we take the extra hour a day to go to the gym Read Full Article…

But I HURT Here

One of the most common questions I hear is, “Why would you check my neck and low back when it is my middle back that hurts?” The answer is really quite simple: My goal is to ensure that each time you leave the office your spine is in better alignment than when you entered. Pain does not necessarily dictate where an adjustment needs to be made. Actually, this is very similar to a medical office. When you enter your doctor’s office one of the very first things that occurs is that your blood pressure is taken. Now, it doesn’t matter Read Full Article…

Can You Do It Yourself?

Have you ever watched the any of the many DIY shows that are on TV? Whether it is cooking, construction, gardening, or picking/antiquing – when you attempt to perform the project it rarely comes out as well as when the professional does it? I think the answer is rather simple. The professional has spent countless house (and typically many years) honing his or her craft so they are able to perform at such a high level that it makes it look easy. (When the camera started rolling was not the first time Jamie Oliver picked up a knife.) While most Read Full Article…

We're Different

Twenty years ago Apple unveiled an advertising campaign that was titled, “Think Different.” The take home message from this commercial (which you can view here) was that those who think outside the lines of “normal” are the ones who push society forward. This is a slogan that has always stuck with me. When I was determining what Ruehle Family Chiropractic would look like, those words were always in the back of my mind. If RFC was to be like every other office that could be found in Sioux City, why would someone choose it over any of the others? As Read Full Article…

The RFC Difference
