Over the next few months I have chosen to start an “Ask the Doctor” segment of the blog. Each post will include a new question that I often hear and will provide a simple answer. If you have any questions you wish to ask, please send it via the Contact section.
“I know a little about chiropractic, but what conditions or diseases can a chiropractor cure?”
In short, the answer is none. Why? Because it is always your own body that does the healing. Regardless of what the medical doctor, chiropractor, osteopath, etc., does, it is up to your own body to heal itself. Each physician attempts to put your body in the best possible state for this to occur. Each does so in a different way. Medical doctors will often prescribe medication which your body will utilize to regulate itself and function better. Physical therapists will help isolate specific muscles that are not working properly and attempt to recalibrate the system (so to speak). Chiropractors work with the body to ensure that there is no interference present between the brain (which oversees every function in the body) and the body to allow the individual to function at their optimum.
In conclusion, Dr. Rhett helps your body function with peak performance. He do not necessarily work with a specific few “conditions” but instead work with the body as a whole – putting it in the best state to take care of itself.
